Elizabeth Rozick, scholarship recipient

As a student at the University of Utah, Elizabeth Rozick wanted to apply to the nuclear medicine technology program and didn’t have the prerequisites, so Davis Tech’s Medical Assistant certificate was the perfect fit. But paying tuition at the university and Davis Tech at the same time was expensive.

Scholarships lifted a huge burden for Elizabeth. “As a student going to two schools, I can now focus more on my studies than financial stress,” she says. Elizabeth plans to use her Medical Assisting certificate to get a better job that will help pay her way through school.

As a medical assistant, Elizabeth looks forward to gaining medical experience on her way to becoming a nuclear medicine technologist. But even more importantly, she’s grateful that her scholarship will help her make a meaningful contribution.

“I love taking care of people, and that’s what medical assisting is all about.”
