National Technical Honor Society students honored in induction ceremony

Last Thursday, 79 students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society in a ceremony held at the DATC Rotunda. To qualify for NTHS membership, students must be enrolled in a career or technical program, maintain attendance and progress requirements, and be nominated by their instructor as outstanding students.

In Thursday's ceremony, after an introduction by Vice President of Instruction Kim Ziebarth, Neka Roundy from Davis County Economic Development spoke to the students. Students received their awards and participated in a candle lighting ceremony. Students also pledged to uphold high standards of scholarship and citizenship.

The National Technical Honor Society serves over 80,000 students annually and provides scholarships to encourage the pursuit of higher education.
